this volunteer opportunity is for YOU!

The Vacation Bible School Planning Team needs Host Families the week of July 21 - July 25

  Why: BSLC is contracting with Lutherwood to send their staff to lead our VBS. We need Host Families to provide for two, three, or four Lutherwood staff for four nights. Lutherwood prefers that the Host Families not be families with children in VBS. This creates an opportunity for other BSLC members to volunteer and support VBS in a unique and important way. It also gives the staff a true break from their busy day with the children.

A Host Family provides:

• A place for sleeping and bathing

• Breakfast on 7/22, 7/23, 7/24, 7/25

• Dinner on 7/21, 7/22, 7/23, 7/24 (some help with dinners may be provided by other members who can host for evening meals)

Joining with other hosts, Lutherwood staff, and VBS volunteers in a fellowship time the evening of July 21.

Additional information:

• Lutherwood asks that their staff not be left alone in Host Families homes' during the evening.

Host families will likely not be asked to assist with transportation. The Lutherwood staff will drive together to Vancouver and thus, have a car to use during their stay.
